Here are some questions you may have. Each library may have different operating procedures, but you need to abide by the rules of the library that you checked your materials out from. The library policies are on the policy page. If you have any questions please contact you local library.
Q: How do I get a Library Card?
A: Adults:
must provide two forms of identification showing name and current address. (Acceptable forms of identification include a driver’s license, a current utility bill, or mail postmarked within the last 30days. Visit your local library with questions regarding additional forms of acceptable

Teens:
Young people ages 18 or older must provide two forms of identification showing name and current address. (Acceptable forms of identification include a driver’s license, school identification card of a report card, of mail postmarked within the last 30 days. Visit your local library with

Children:
Children must be able to print their first and last names to get a library card. Applications for all children and young adults under 18 years of age must be signed by a parent of legal guardian.
Q: Where Can I Use My Card?
A: At home, school or office to access SEPLSO databases whenever you need them. Your card is also good at all SEPLSO branch libraries in seven Oklahoma Counties.
Q: When does my library card expire?
A: Card registration does not expire, however the card holder are requested to verify their address if they change addresses or every three years to retain library card privileges
Q: What if I lose my card?
A: There is a $2.00 fee for the replacement of a lost or damaged library card
Q: What are my responsibilities?
A: Be responsible for all materials borrowed on your card. Report changes of address promptly. Visit any library location to update your address and you will be asked to show one form of identification with your new address. Report a lost card promptly. Your are responsible for materials borrowed up to the time the card is reported lost. You may report a lost card by phone or in person. Promptly pay all charges for overdue, damaged or last materials. Observe all rules of the Southeastern Public Library System of Oklahoma including those governing behavior on library premises.
Q: How do I renew materials?
A: You may renew your materials online on our online catalog. Just login to your account and go to renew my materials. You may also call your local library and renew you materials over the phone. If the materials are needed then you may not be able to renew.
Q: How long can I keep my materials?
A: Each library sets their own check out time for different materials. Check with your local library for there procedures.
Q: Can I return my materials to other libraries in the system?
A: Most libraries like you to return their materials where you checked them out. Ask your library about their procedures on this. If you have to return it to another library, please tell them the library that the material belongs to.
Q: How can I return Library materials?
A: Most materials may be returned in the book drop when the library is closed, check with your local library for their procedure Please do not put money for overdue charges in the book drops. Return overdue materials in person in order to clear any holds against your library card. Borrowed library materials that are returned after the specified due date shall be subject to a fine of .25, which shall increase at the rate of .25 per month to a limit of 1.00.There is a 14-day grace period during which time the fine will be canceled if the item is returned.
Q: What if I damage or lose any materials?
A: If you damage or lose materials you will be charged a fee. There are minimum charges for lost materials and depending on the damage charges may vary.
