Heavener Library Open!!!

Posted by CathyTucker on March 9, 2009

Heavener opened their doors to the public in their newly expanded building on February 25th. They had been closed since January 17th for the move from their temporary location. The Grand Opening celebrartion on Saturday, Febrary 28th was well-attended, despite the wintery cold. A cornerstone ceremonty by Oklahoma Maons and short talks by State Senator Kenneth Corn and State Representative Neil Brannon highlighted the program. Most or the celebration was held in the old library, which is no the meeting room and has had the oringinal wooden ceiling and stone walls uncovered so that it is a highly attractive place for programs. We are thrilled for Jana and Jane. Enjoy.
